Charlie hicks:
“My intent with lily luck was to make a film that is both extremely relatable and far fetched. the theme of feeling trapped in an unfulfilling life is fairly universal, but the way lily deals with the situation is very unique. i hope the audience finds themselves connecting with the characters and their actions while at the same time questioning the choices that are made and the reasoning behind them. this movie deals with the dangers of allowing yourself to fall into a rut and settling for less that what you deserve. I believe it’s important to take charge of your life and make changes before it’s too late and i hope lily luck can convey that message well..”
Djuri:
“Sampling unique content is part of what i like when composing. there was an underlying theme in the movie which is water. Grabbing my dopper i heard a bell sound. I quickly pulled out a microphone and started recording various versions of it. Filling the bottle with a little bit more water each time produced different tonalities and thus creating a unique ‘playable’ instrument”
